St. Matthew's Episcopal Church

I go here for one of my Alcoholic Anonymous meetings a few days per week. The church itself has an old, strong, Holy feeling to it. Many peoples lives have changed in the rooms of this church.

I used to go to this church, it's more like a country club than a church and I don't mean that as a compliment. Don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself. A few years ago when I was gravely ill in hospital, my family contacted the Pastor for help and support, he flatly refused. He was asked if he could visit me in the hospital and pray for me, he said he will try, but never showed up. For years I didn't want to speak ill of a church but now I feel it's best that I share, so others will be aware. Maybe it was just that particular pastor, maybe he isn't there anymore but his actions or lack thereof has left a very bitter taste. I never attended a service there again. I sincerely hope, things have changed since then.
