Lisa was a delight to work with and Nish at the front desk is so sweet. However, I think they need to be more transparent about how much their services cost. I tried to get a sense of how much I would be billed upon my first visit, and Nish tried to get me a breakdown of the services but it was very confusing and not intuitive (probably not her fault). After receiving my first bill I realized it was around $600 for an hour long session, in which my insurance covered ~50%. I was not able to afford it and realized this after having gone 3 times. I ended up having to transfer locations. The staff is such a delight but the cost of service should be explained upfront, especially to those that have concerns regarding whether or not they would be able to afford it

I just called the clinic to ask if I will need a referral from my neurosurgeon to get some PT sessions. The desk clerk said "yes" - nothing more. So I asked if I can bring it with me. She said "no" - nothing more. So I asked if I must have the doctor send the referral to the clinic. She replied "I'll give you the fax number". Great customer service NOT!! If the desk person is like that, how are the rest of the staff? I'm going somewhere else.

I was referred to start physical therapy at this location by an orthopedic in the Carilion office adjacent to this one. I started off and tried to get an estimate of cost from the billing office and they were unable to get that information to me, which I found odd. When I received the bill for the services it was very high I thought and I was charged different amounts for different exercises per 15 min. I called and asked why the charges were so high ($272 for 15 min and $156.50 for the other 15 min) equaling $428.50 for a 30 min. session. It was explained to me that this location charges at the hospital rate which is normally higher than a private/independent physical therapy location. This would have been helpful knowing this prior to starting and receiving the bill after 4 sessions. With this location not being close to the hospital I never would have assumed this. If you still choose to go here, the staff are all very nice and knowledgeable and I was happy with the therapist that I worked with.
