When i got relocated for my job for 3 years i didn't want to give up my house in Bedford but i was so nervous about renting it out. Deguire Properties came to the rescue. The minute I met Derek Deguire he put me at ease. He is so professional, very informative and just so nice. They did such a great job finding the perfect family to rent out my house for the whole 3 years. They took care of everything for me. Easily taking care of the few repairs that arose during that time. I never had to worry about anything. Derek managed my rental property for about 17 months. He's a pretty nice guy and the first year went smoothly with the tenant he placed. After the tenant re-signed their lease for another year however we started to have issues with the rent being paid on time, HOA violations and other disturbances in the neighborhood. This went on for a few months and Derek emailed me saying they were scaling back their operations and didn't want to manage properties that were located far from their office (I believe mine was around 20 miles from their office), and gave me a 30 day notice that after that period they would no longer manage the property. Fair enough, I found another property manager to take it over, but my thought is that if everything was still going smoothly with the tenant they would not have cancelled our contract. I think it just got to be more trouble than the 10% per month we were paying for them to manage it.

Derek Deguire "managed" a house for us in Irving for most of 2020- total disaster. He put a young woman and her young sister into our house.He sub contracts inspection out to a third party who reported there were problems with the 4th bedroom. It's a 3 bedroom house! Derek told us - every thing is fine. On inspecting the photos I found they had built a 4th bedroom in our garage with a queen bed, bunk, TV and playstation. (I can post photo of this)No idea how many relatives had moved into our house. Neighbors had already complained too many people and cars. When I told Derek, he simply called the tenant who said - No its just me and my sister - and he accepted that. When they moved out we had to replace all bedroom carpets for stench. The one dog they had was probably more like 3 or 4. Derek was anxious to drop us, saying, My company no longer services Irving. The website still lists Irving. We'd have done better driving three hours and managing it ourselves.

My wife and I relocated to the DFW area during summer 2017 and were fortunate enough to find a home being managed by DeGuire Properties in the Mid-Cities area. From the initial home viewing to the very efficient application and move-in process, our experience and interactions with Derek, Alan, and Sheila have been nothing short of exemplary, and helped remove some of the burden from the already stressful process of moving. We have had several minor maintenance issues during our lease (both at the beginning of the lease and as recently as last week), and have found them all to be promptly and satisfactorily corrected, which has not been my experience with previous lessors. Thanks again to Derek and company for their attention to their clientele.
