Silver Spur Guest Ranch

Im super disappointed, because they cancelled us without any informations ! I tried to call them, emailed them, even on facebook.... they never responded. Thankfully they gave us our deposit. We went in another ranch, Rancho Cortex, that I recommend +++++. I spent one of my best day in my life ! Anyway. It was near by, so we stopped to see if there would be information on the gate of the ranch and nothing, we bumped to a family who was supposed to stay there and never had a cancel email, any explanation... they drove 7h, we were so angry for this poor family. I heard a lot of good things about this ranch, I don’t know what happened when we had to go but in the end I had an even better day than expected elsewhere.

Silver Spur Ranch is a wonderful family getaway! The owners and employees are very hospitable and have provided a fantastic experience that is not too commercial or too kitschy. The views on the trail rides were breathtaking and the kids loved being up close with the goats, horses, Longhorns and the donkeys. The food was great as well as the evening campfires. Papa J was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend visiting this place.

One of the best family experiences ever! Our family of 4 stayed for two nights over Easter weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better way to get away. Spring-time in Texas is beautiful and even in the rain we had an amazing time riding horses and taking advantage of the activities. All of the family that owns and runs the ranch and their staff is friendly and willing to stop and talk. We felt like family and we can't wait to go back!
