I have only been to 3 or 4 yarn shops in Maryland, but so far this is the absolute best! They have a wide variety of brands from very, very expensive luxury fibers (+$20 per skein) to middle range + $6-9 per skein). And they actually have a sale bin where I have found some incredible yarns for half off. While they may not jump out of their seat and follow you around to see if you need assistance, (some people like that kind of thing) they are friendly and knowledgeable and have introduced me to several new knitting tools I am happy to own. They sell very good quality needles and accessories and have a very pretty collection of unique buttons. To name a few, they sell Rowan, Malabrigo, Berrocco, Cascade, MadelineTosh and many others I wouldn't immediately recognize. I also like the projects they create in-store as they are more creative and inspiring than other yarn shops. Many of the projects are trendier too. For instance, last winter they had a really cool plaid black and red scarf that was double-sided. They have excellent classes too. Unfortunately I have moved to Montgomery County and there are no knitting shops quite like this one here. I am making a point to go there anytime I am back in Baltimore so I can see what's new!
