Dr. Browne is truly the kindest person in the world. She takes so much care with my daughter, and she is so thorough and compassionate and she finds ways to connect. My daughter had to put in a hard contact lenses and she was so patient and understanding and gentle and kind. Her disposition is just so tenderhearted and sweet. I have also witnessed other children in the clinic and interactions with technicians and doctors and Im always just so impressed. My daughter is doing so well with her treatment and we are so thankful. The gift of better vision is priceless. I just cannot say enough about The Center for Vision Development!

I had a stroke that affected my vision. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. The staff members are helping me improve my vision depth perception, peripheral vision, training my eyes not to turn inward and my eyes to line up vertically. Eye teaming work is part of my treatment plan. All of these treatments are helpful in improving my reading, reading comprehension, my ability to walk stairs and uneven surfaces, and overall quality of life. This place feels like home and gives me hope for a strong recovery. It is a 3 hour round trip for me to attend and I believe it is time well spent. I would definitely recommend you to invest in yourself or loved one and enjoy your best life! Seeing is believing.

It was good. I had to wait about twenty minutes before I went back for the evaluation, but service was very good then. Very informed, friendly and welcoming staff.

We had two kids enrolled in vision therapy to help with different vision issues and we noticed remarkable improvement in both. One was experiencing a lot of eye strain from a weak focusing system that was causing migraine level headaches. The other had double vision almost constantly. After almost a year of therapy, it has really paid off. For one the headaches have completely gone away and for the other they no longer have issues with double vision. Its been a real challenge for both of them this past year and its a lot to keep up with. But the constant therapy has been worth it. We recently went to Disney World and Universal Studios. They have a LOT of 3-D motion simulators and afterwards I realized neither one had any issues using the 3-D glasses. When we started therapy, both of them had a hard time with 3-D. For one it was very disorienting. But not once was it an issue on our trip. The motion part of the rides was a different matter. All of the vision therapists weve had have been great. They all worked well with our kids and do a great job of making the therapy a good experience. We were apprehensive about spending the time and money on vision therapy when we got conflicting advice from other doctors (our pediatrician, optometrist, and ophthalmologist). But we have seen the improvement we were hoping for and are very happy with the results.

I started vision therapy towards the end of high school - I realized this was something I needed to check out after a discussion with a friend who had seen Dr. Smith years before. No other optometrist could ever tell me why I was having severe light sensitivity, eye discomfort when looking around, trouble reading for longer periods of time, and other symptoms that went on for about 10 years. Due to college and then starting a travel career, I hadn't quite completed my vision therapy course. Therefore, some symptoms were better than they were initially, but still remained. I recently decided to revisit vision therapy to help me both with work tasks and day-to-day activities. I am still in a different city, but after going to Austin for a re-diagnosis with Dr. Browne this time, I am able to have my routine vision therapy appointments virtually. I only need to go in every couple of months for checkups. It's amazing! I've been back at it for about a month so far, and my symptoms are already alleviating. I can't wait to see how I feel once I complete vision therapy! I am very grateful to have found Dr. Smith and Dr. Browne, they are both wonderful! CVD is an excellent place to go for people of all ages, very kind and professional, and they have flexible options for people who even live out of town. I absolutely recommend!
