Went to QVL to fill my prescriptions for pain meds. Turned out the doctor had not signed the prescriptions. The pharmacist, however, did not notice this until she was almost done. She gave me the prescriptions back.
I managed to get another doctor from the same office to rewrite the prescriptions. By this time QVL was closed. I want to CVS to fill them.
CVS was unable to fill them because QVL had already billed my insurance for them! QVL did not clear these billings from my insurance when they gave me back the unsigned prescriptions, therefore my insurance would not approve payment to another pharmacy. The cost of these meds is over $500 without insurance. The pharmacist at CVS was unable to fill these prescriptions without direct authorization from the doctor. Due to QVL's error I got to spend the night in EXTREME discomfort.
