Mismanaged to the 9s. Those that run this union need to be removed and replaced with people that understand and know what it means to be a union thats meant to help the people, not serve themselves in lofty director and high management positions...

This is one of the worst unions I have ever been apart of and thankfully I am no longer a member of this union. They are supposed to be for the workers but they clearly are not. They protect the State of Maine. While working at MaineDOT, I was discriminated against by MaineDOT management and when I attempted to file a grievance through the union, I was not allowed to do so. The union does not protect the workers. They are clearly for the state and against the members.

MSEA is removing honest reviews and is astroturfing, which breaks the policy of google reviews. Conflict of interest arises when current employees/directors are reviewing their own workplace. This Unions management is staffed with hypocrites and machievellian executives who only want to make a name for themselves and do not care about employees or who they harm along the way. They treat employees the complete opposite of how they advocate for their Members to be treated. Is this really where you want your dues going? LIVE YOUR VALUES. Management has actively discouraged employees from seeking their own Union representation, discouraged workers from pursuing their rights under the ADA, and was obstructive to concerns regarding training around HIPAA and ERISA, stating that appropriate training was "too expensive" and employees would instead be informed when they break these federal laws. Field reps, legal, politics, finance, etc departments are underpaid, overworked, and do care about the mission, but poor management will sink a ship.
