The Shrine has been a home for me that I did not know I was looking for. It has comforted me more than I thought was possible. It brings me deeper in my faith and closer to my fellow Christians.
As a Bisexual Catholic I am told that I cant have both and have to choose one: my faith or my love. The Shrine instead tells me that my love stems from my faith. My faith is love and therefore my love is not shameful. Something Ive never heard before.
From the song You are Welcome Here that they have played ever mass Ive gone to, to the way everyone just lights up upon seeing you- even if you dont know them- you know that you are welcome there. More than that, you are wanted there.
I have never found a place that made me feel closer to Heaven and Gods love than this place.

A beautiful and historic church located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. This church and community really focuses on giving back to those who need it the most. The church provides housing food and spiritual support for the city's most vulnerable. Parking can be tough as you have to park in the underground lot.
