Ive been with this bank since 1975 when Jim Patton loaned me $300 on a signature loan to go to computer programming school. He only knew me from watching me play football and basketball at Plainview.
Since 1975, 48 years now, Ive been a loyal customer. Theyve been good to me, Ive always paid back every penny Ive borrowed. Shirley Word, eventually became my banker, through thick and thin she stuck with me. Getting near retirement, she switched jobs in the bank, and I was assigned to another, name witheld for professional purposes. She loaned me $1600 in the summer of 2021, signature only, to take my 30 year old son to watch the Dallas Cowboys.
Ive asked for another loan, $6000 for car repairs, with my paid off vehicle as collateral, appraisal of $28,000. NOPE, didnt like my credit score, more like she didnt like me. Months ago I drove down there, introduced myself to her, she was very cold in our meeting. I could tell she didnt want anything to do with me.
I know Im not a well known person, or an influential person. If you enjoy telling me no, or having your secretary call to tell me Im overdrawn and when will I make a deposit, SHAME ON YOU!! In my 48 years thats never happened. I have $1,000 overdraft protection account, it covers me if I overdraw.
Mrs. Graves, I dont know you, other than our 15 minute meeting. I have no idea what Ive done to you but if you dont want me as a client just tell me.
Im too old and sick to be treated this way.
