Not an arboretum anyone wants to visit.
    Mar 17th, 2016

  • Larry Hatch

Much like other visitors who've written on the web, we thought from the sign this was actually an arboretum, a type of public garden containing a tree collection. It is actually a crudely landscaped office park with not the least bit of botanical merit or "green" educational value. One who sees the term "arboretum" thinks a few good thoughts about the sophistication of this community, and then pulls in is actually trespassing instead of finding a welcome, educational oasis as are the Raulston Arboretum, Coker Arboretum, and Culberson Arboretum here in RDU. (After all, even little Kernserville has it's own true arboretum and botanical garden). How typical of Apex and Cary to both have an "arboretum" which meet no known definition of the term, as phony and culturally vapid as the rest of these towns. I look forward to the forthcoming Apex State Park (Taco Bell) and Apex Nature Preserve (Nail Salon).
