Will never make an appointment with him ever again. Please don't see him if you need to have an IUD inserted. Started the appt insulting the birth control that I was on, then pushing me to get my tubes tied. Didn't talk me through the procedure and then blamed me for it not being successful. Oh, and they left without checking to see if I was okay. Awful and traumatic.

I'm sorry to say this but certain staff members (like nurses) weren't nice to me. And the doctor would lie in my face (most of the time). Can't trust him anymore.

The most unorganized doctors office Ive EVER experienced!!!!!! I had a doctors appt yesterday which I called to see if I can be seen a little sooner the receptionist (Cristina) told me Dr. Vander Vennet had a annual after me he should be able to see me sooner. I checked in about 4:20, and at 5:40 I asked the receptionist if she knew how much longer. Her response was they know your here want to reschedule? I said I already waited a hour and just walked out. Today I called to speak to SARAH the nurse manager she didnt even get on the phone and told the receptionist to tell me the same thing she knows I wasn't seen do I want to reschedule? My next appt its already canceled!!!! They are unprofessional, terrible service, no compassion! SARAH AND CRISTINA are giving GRIFFIN A BAD NAME! Dr. Vander Vennet have a great reputation, however the way appointments are canceled, and the wait times, and Staff were rude. I work in the healthcare myself I am totally understanding and aware of the importance of patient care, customer service, and respect, we should have towards patients. I just wasn't given the care I deserve at the 2 Ivy Brook Rd location #125, Shelton, CT. I just wanted to be heard and I didnt even get the chance to do that.

Ive personally been a patient of Dr. Vander Vennett for about 7 years and I have family members that have been going to him for close to 20. Hes so personable and knowledgeable. I needed an emergency C section when I had my daughter and he was so great at keeping me calm. He delivered her in record time and for that I will always be grateful. Ill never go anywhere else as long as hes in practice.
