image Very good selection of firearms and accessories. I believe some of their prices are a little higher on the handguns specifically but you always get great service. Always grab a couple boxes of ammo if im in the area!

image We are long time customers of Jim's Firearms. That STOPPED today. We experienced the highest form of disrespect today from a the gunsmith who came from the back.
To make a long story short, we went there to sell two rifles that we no longer use. We were pleased with the price they offered us. We also had a small pistol where the slide was frozen and we wanted to try to get it looked at to see what the problem was. We expected there to be some minimal fee, but we were never told a price. We waited to hear back as to what was wrong with the gun and what the price would be to fix it. The young guy working behind the counter came back and told us that there was a bullet in the gun and they had to take it out. They already completed the process and we now owed them 85.00. As stated before, we knew that there would be some kind of fee, but the fee was never related to us. We said, "Wow"! That seems to be a lot" The young guy then said he was going to talk to someone about the charge. Within a few minutes the very rude gunsmith came down and got really close to my husband and said. "Man, I put my life on the line getting a bullet out of a gun. Did you expect to get this work done for free." He was very aggressive in his tone and demeanor. I then stated, no I didn't expect for it to be free, but I expected to know what the price was before the work was completed. I also asked why he was behaving in such an aggressive way, when we never acted inappropriately and he did. He continued to be rude and asking us why did we think we were getting it for free. A guy named William then spoke to us. No one offered an apology for his behavior and excuses were made for it. We just went ahead and paid the fee and left. I have a problem with this type of customer service.
1. The young guy behind the counter should have related the price to us and us agree to it before the work was completed.
2. The very rude gunsmith never should have approached my husband and I in such an aggressive manner.
3. We didn't expect to get the work for free, but considering how we were treated and we are long time customers, a discount should have been given because of their mistake.
Until today, we recommended Jim's Firearms. We have purchased wonderful guns and ammunition there. Today, and I am sure it does not matter to them, they have lost this family's business.

Hey Hollie,We apologize that the fee for removing a stuck round was not relayed to you. However, the fee for removing a stuck round has always been $85.00. In order to remove the round in a safe manner required a large amount of time that the gunsmiths had to stop working on other customers firearms, that had been here for much longer than yours. This is why the $85.00 fee is assessed. Again we apologizes that this was not relayed to you properly and the employees that you dealt with have all been informed of the fee. If you have any further questions or would like to speak about this event feel free to contact Dillon by calling the store during business hours. Thanks!
