Had problems with my heater and the owner gave me a few options to keep us warm. He was very transparent and honest with me. I could tell he has the integrity that many are looking for in a business owner. Technicians were very professional and courteous. Had the job finished the next day and even came back to Nevada for a minor issue. Very fair and competitive pricing. Highly recommend this company over the soulless big box HVAC services around Ames. Truly puts the customer first! Update: had a yearly furnace check up and the technician was really nice and professional. On time and explained everything to me in a timely manner. I am pretty unhappy with the service from Harvest. Last year they came out, took a quick look at our AC unit and said our AC unit needed freon. As a professional, I trusted what they told us and we paid $500 of them fix our AC. Soon after the fix, the weather cool down, and we really did not use the air conditioning much. It has been less than a year since the fix but the first time we turned on the AC, it didnt cool things down, so we called them to let them know. We were then told technician should have tested to see if there was leak prior to adding more Freon- which was not done, so the Freon that was added, has leaked out and the unit doesnt work. The money we paid them was a complete waste. We asked if they could send someone to diagnose and test, as they should have done the first time, and they said they would for another $135. They were quick to come out last year to fix it, when other companies were unable to get us the help we needed in a quick turnaround time, but its unfortunate their staff wasnt properly trained to do the job we paid them to do- resulting in us back at square one and out $500.
