Administrator, Tailyn Queen, at Arden Courts has shown me only professionalism and compassion. She is exemplary and a role model for others. She has helped make a very difficult time palatable. Thank you, Tailyn, and Arden Courts.

My dad was beginning to wonder with his Alzheimers and we had to make the tough choice to find a safe place for him. This place offered him space to endlessly wonder inside and outside. We go daily to visit, my father is dressed and moving early. Hes free to do whatever he wants in a safe environment. We love all the staff, they go over and beyond to make my family comfortable including letting me in each time they see me struggle with the key pad entry, another safety feature! This is a gem of a place that I never knew existed. Thank you so much for creating a safe haven for my father to enjoy his life again. The Pulli family

Caring staff who try hard to meet each resident on an individual level -- really appreciate the way activities/events are designed to involve family members

The staff is very kind, but at the end of the day, the care isnt so great. My family has taken my dad there for respite on a few occasions, but the care provided on his most recent visit was unacceptable. He fell the first few days he was there, and again two days later. When I was notified of the second fall, I told the nurse that I was dissatisfied with the level of supervision he had, and she had her boss call me the next day. When I spoke to the supervisor, she insisted that they were not aware of the level of care my dad needed, and if I needed one on one care, it would be an extra fee. Note, there is an IMMENSE amount of paperwork required with details of what care is needed, routines, etc. Either no one read it, or no one cared. When my mother came to pick him up a little over a week later, they brought him out in a wheelchair and he needed to be lifted into the car. Before he went to the facility, he had never used a wheelchair he had walked. He needed a bit of supervision to make sure he didnt trip, but he was able to walk around the house. The nurses asked my mom if she had someone to get him out of the carat home. She said no, and they sent her off. Since then, he seems very scared to walk, and cant do it at all. It seems that after I was upset about his second fall, they had him sitting 100% of the time for the rest of his stay. He got stiff & lost the memory/ muscular ability to walk. We expected this decline because of the disease, but we did not expect it to come on so quickly, and to come after a stay in a facility we paid lots of money to take care of him. The nurse called me a day before pickup to let me know he had a burst blood vessel in his eye & she didnt want me to be surprised. She should have told me he was no longer able to walk and would require a wheelchair at home, that warning would have been much more helpful.
