Dropped by Parsian once and tried the Koubideh kabob. It was really, really good. So good I was going to name it my second favorite kabob restaurant in the area after Shamshiry. I also liked the decor and ambiance and our server was super nice and attentive. Great service from her. There was only one other couple in the restaurant having dinner; it looked like the place didn't get a lot of attention, which I thought was a real shame because the food tasted delicious.
Fast forward to New Year's Eve. My boyfriend and I decided to come here to have dinner. Granted, it was 9:30pm and according to their website, they were supposed to close at 10pm. The restaurant was completely packed with people. Alright, I thought, it's NYE so of course there's more people. When we entered the restaurant however, you could tell they were slightly overwhelmed by all the unusual attention. There was a table that had yet to be bussed and a couple standing around that table, waiting for the servers/busboys to come and clean it up. We go to the front and wait by the cash register/kitchen passageway, the only place we could stand in the restaurant. There were two waitresses working that night and another male waiter. The two waitresses passed by us without asking what we wanted or needed for over 20 minutes! They had to walk past us in order to get to the area where all the customers sat and had to walk past us to get to the cash register and kitchen and chose to deliberately ignore us the entire time! That was really infurirating. What's more, they didn't even bother to clean up the table that the other couple was now sitting at.
Around 9:50, a group of five people walked in and up to the cash register. They asked the male server how long of a wait it could be. The male waiter said to come back in 30 minutes. Then, my boyfriend asks him how long it would be for us because we were waiting first. The waiter actually brought both hands up to his head like he was completely overwhelmed and said he had no room. WTF?! You just told another group to come back in 30 minutes but we, a party of two, can't have a table now after waiting for 30 minutes?! Ridiculous! Even more so, the couple that had been sitting at the un-bussed table was still sitting there and no one bothered to come by to do or say anything. What bothers me the most is that while they were busy with customers and had two separate parties waiting for them to do or say anything, the waitresses would go back to the cash register and play with their cellphones in plain sight instead of addressing us!
Service the second time around was abysmal and just plain ridiculous. I was really disappointed with how they acted that time. Food is good though and my boyfriend and I ordered delivery from Parsian a few weeks ago. I just wouldn't want to deal with them whenever there's a holiday, as they clearly can't deal with it.
