*and as far as the response from the owner then go do your job & investigate thats out of my pay grade to help you. take care Working here is absolutely atrocious, i struggle with a heart condition that causes me to go into Afib bradycardia i was cleared up and unfortunately when i went through a DV situation back in Nov. my condition flared up while working here. i also am on the spectrum of Autism & have complex PTSD i have been written up for it as well & when i said if i get the doctors notes they would see about the write up. if i have proof why wouldnt you take it away when its a wrongful write up? they have done absolutely nothing but treat me so poorly to the point when i finish my shifts i walk out of the facility & cry this place will absolutely destroy your mental health with the bullying & intimidating work environment. Ive worked hard all my life i have no family i live alone i pay my bills. Ive been verbally attacked by 3 different employees & because 1 is so young she lost emotionally control to the point she stepped closer to me & surprisingly enough her mother who works there as well pulled her away which i will add hiring a mother & daughter duo is not ethical & a conflict of interest & she will be a mother before an employee & that was demonstrated clearly that day what she would decide & who did they hire back of desperation after firing was that young girl that demonstrated potential violent behavior & they chalked up aggressive verbal attacking to being a personality trait, & truly if you are close to the age of 40 and you cannot decipher between a personality which is funny, charming, bubbly, to behavior which is swearing cussing & getting verbally aggressive & hostile then im truly curious to who you maneuvered through your career thus far, only the good aids leave because they refuse to be treated poorly & not like a human when we work in a human oriented field you can do the math & once you are not liked they leave you for dead & management will as well. so with that as an employee ill give an HONEST review of what goes on here since families do not see what i see. the dementia unit is the WORST of the 2 units some of your family members wont get their medication because some of the employees just forget or when their cassettes run out theyll put out of med but the next day if theres no meds because they failed to notify you there theyll just sign that they administered them when they never did & lets not fail to mention the reason legs are swollen is because they do have teds stocking but some employees either KNOW they lost the teds & do not care enough to say anything OR they just dont put them on cause there hard to put on well thats your job go flip burgers if its a hassle. a rumor started about me saying employees didnt want to do nail care when i only said it was in our scope so ill say it now if you want nails done goodluck cause they might pitch a fit like highschoolers about it. fun fact a lot of aids are not even licensed through the state there just certified through Genesis because they cant keep people due to the work environment being so poor that its just a revolving door. Some are licensed some are not & some are put PCAs & the way for you families to tell is to look at their badges itll specify what they are. One time there was no one for activities & we were told we couldnt take our 30 minute breaks which is illegal ill add. they write me up for call outs with Afib but you dont even make sure there is coverage when someone takes a couple days off? weird. you will not have full time schedule if you are new only people with longevity. Im an honest person and ill go ridiculous hard for my residents but unfortunately when you have poor management you cant do what youd like to do. management lacks integrity thats all i have to say. this review will absolutely 100% probably get me in trouble but at this point ill do what you guys do which is not care. I hope this helps some families cause at the end of the day i dont care about your company anymore

As a family, we cant place enough emphasis on the professionalism and nurturance witnessed from their ENTIRE staff. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Anyone, would be so lucky to have The Memory Care at Heritage Woods, be a stop on your loved ones journey Everyone knows the Birches has provided comfort and confidence for mom. my sisters and me, our spouses, the grandkids, moms great grandkids and the many friends she made around Western Mass and during her brief stop in Maryland. The staff here at heritage woods has been nothing but the best for my grandmother Phyllis. The birches which is the closed Alzheimers dementia neighborhood is so well done, full of activities and they dont hesitate to call with any questions updates or concerns. God bless the people here that work day in and day out to care for our loved ones
