Our family has 3 houses that are serviced by Banks and have been since the early 1980's. Never had a problem with them, always honest and dependable. Excellent customer service. I have recommended them to several friends and they also had great experiences.  Several years ago our A/C went out on a sunday and my husband said let's as the guy down the street who works for Reliable heating and air. The guy came down and said we needed a $5,000 new unit. I said let's call Mr. Banks and see what he says. The next day Mr. Banks came out and fixed it for $85 and we continued with the same unit 3 more years (by then it was 15 years old) before we had to get a new one. Mr. Banks and his staff installed the new one and we were very happy.

I hesitate to even give one star to this company, but for the sake of saving others from using them I will.  Back in 2010 we began to use Banks Heating and air when we bought a new home. We liked Jay Banks, the owner as he was personable and we though honest. In 2011 our hvac system was on its last leg, and my husband being the kind of guy he is, wanted to give a small, local company some business.  We choose Banks ( big mistake in retrospect) to install two hvac units.  From the time of installation, we had nothing but issues, after at least 10 calls within a 6 month time period, they came out and time and time again told us the problems were fixed.  After spending over $7,000 on two units, we expected the air conditioners to work.  Turns out, they installed them incorrectly, after the units leaked in our attic, causing damage to our master bdrm ceiling, they came back again to repair and we thought correct the issues.  We contacted the manufacturer to make sure we didn't get a lemon, they were concerned as well and told us to let them know the outcome.  Long story short, we installed these in 2011.  Finally got smart and started having Casteel come service us.  They have now told us after doing a maintenance check on our system, that we were given a 2009 manufactured unit and a 2011 unit.  Don't know if Banks installed a used, shoddy old 2009 unit in our house that had been sitting around their warehouse or what, but now after 6 years, we have to replace it again. Bottom line is, trust a big company, and expert.  Use Casteel or Shumate, we tried to be nice guys and support a small business and it came back to bite us.
