We didnt confirm our room until late. Was offered and booked a king room. When we arrived we. We were not greeted as a loyalty member. Was given a key to two queens, but not told. When we got to the room we were surprised. When we got back to the desk I was told, oh you were upgraded from a king to two queens by my manager. How is that an upgrade? When I asked for help with an other hotel she stated we are a franchise. I cant help We went to a Hilton and had a great stay!

Rooms: Clean and comfortable. We had a double room and everyone had enough space. Nearby activities: Conveniently located off the interstate. Can be in downtown within 15 minutes. Walkability: Can walk across the street to the shopping plaza or down the road with your dog on its sidewalk.

Rooms: Rooms are nice, housekeeping isn't that great. They clean the room somewhat. You never know if they are going to leave you any towels sometimes they make the bed and sometimes they don't. One time there was food left in the fridge from a previous guest.

The Aloft Hotel was a new experience for me as I had not stayed in one previously. I was moving to the area and needed an inexpensive option for a week or more while looking for an apartment. It is located just a few minutes away from the mall and loads of shopping choices. There is a local Italian fast food restaurant basically in the parking lot. They have a pool, gym, and washing machines onsite which were all very useful while traveling. Kids did enjoy the indoor pool which was heated, just not as warm as they had hoped, they still enjoyed it. The hotel seems to be set up for a younger crowd, but it still worked for what we needed. I did not sign up for the morning breakfast as it was not the standard American Breakfast that I normally enjoy at a Marriott. Hit the local Tim Horton about a 1000 ft down the road on the right.
