Unfortunately Dr. Hoenie's professionalism is drowned out by his staff, only interested in gossiping while negligently working on patient needs, it seems that a comfort for coasting has dropped their concern for client needs.

Dr. Heonie is the reason why I’ve had extreme anxiety about orthodontics/dentistry since I was a teenager. I went to him for two years while I had braces and every time I had to go for a check up or a tightening I would get such severe anxiety because of how bad he would make me feel. He not only belittled me when I wasn’t as far along with my braces as he would like (I was thirteen years old, not many teenagers love having braces. He should learn some patience if he wants to help children with their teeth) and he would literally make me feel bad because I didn’t go to church. He asked if my family went to church the first time I ever met him and when I replied “no” he was rude to me and my parents from there on out. We’re not atheists or anything, we just don’t practice religion which isn’t anyone’s business ESPECIALLY AN ORTHODONTIST THAT WE ARE PAYING GENEROUSLY! He constantly talked about religion while working on my teeth which, to me, is super unprofessional. He seems to have a problem with anyone that isn’t exactly like him. I had such a bad experience with him that it made me develop anxiety whenever I had to go to see him or a dentist and I still to this day get anxious when going to a dentist because I’m afraid they are going to belittle me and look down on me. I never write reviews and obviously this is an extremely late one because it’s been nine years since I had my braces taken off but I’ve never really told anyone other than my parents about how he made me feel. I figure that if anything, maybe this review can help a parent when deciding to look for an orthodontist for their child because I know for a FACT I am not the only teenager that felt this way. Multiple people I went to high school with had these same problems with him. I honestly don’t even know if he is still practicing but I really hope he is not. Parents!! Take your child to an orthodontist who will make them feel good about themselves while also giving advice and knowledge instead of a nasty old man who would rather judge than just be kind.
