Several days ago Leon came by to locate the leak in the area of my bathroom. He determined it was in the outer wall of the shower. Today, Thursday, Louis came by and after consulting with Leon, punched a hole in the outside wall and it was spot on. No more stucco removal than necessary. When someone says a "pion hole" leak, I can vouch for that. They were friendly and efficient. Ah, the sound of flowing water ... in the pipes. However, trying to get a receipt is another situation. I have called and sent an email, but no response. Will try again today. Service: Leak investigation and repair

I had a leak in the piping that runs to my Pool Automatic fill unit. Louis was the technician that American Leak Detection sent to fix it. He was very professional and courteous explaining all the work he was going to do before he started. I must admit I was a little nervous about the hole he had to dig through my pool decking...but after he explained how he was going to do it and exactly what it would look like after, I just went inside and let him do his job. All his work looks great and Louis made sure his "clean up" made everything look like it did before. We give them a two because they were nice guys, they showed up when they said they would, they gave report to insurance company the next day and gave my son a jumpsuit to get the images. They did not come prepared to get in the crawl space which we told the insurance adjuster we had. They said they would have to return with their crawlspace guy another time. So, we took our own pictures with their phone, of our leak when we went under the house. They took our photos (without sharing, they could have easily Airdropped them but added them to their report. The insurance took their report and denied our claim saying it was going on for years. So I took to finding my own plumber. The new plumber said that it wasn't something that has been there for years and that he can repair it Saturday. So disappointed and frustrated. We didn't pay for it, the insurance company did. Thankful for that. I almost hired them to check my pool for leaks, but after an almost $1,000 quote, I said no thanks. After this experience, I am happy I didn't hire them. I will not of my own free will hire them for anything. They couldn't have seen this leak from the basement just poking their heads inside the crawlspace. They looked at the basement wall and asked about bathrooms and a/c. I expected them to really look for a leak. I would have crawled under and checked all the pipes, looked under all the sinks, showers and tubs, in the kitchen and all the water outlets around the house.
