Started this hike at Boynton Canyon Trailhead. It took us 2 hr round trip for the 5.5 mile. It was amazing. We did 8 hikes in Sedona in 4 days, and this was the favorite. Highly recommended. My wife does all her hiking in sandals and did the last scramble without issues, so it depends on what you're used to.

12 km trail there and back. Quite difficult in the end, but the views and the impressions of the rock formations definitely make up for the effort. Parking: The parking spaces always fill up quickly. We were at the start at 8 a.m. and got one of the last pots. But there are always parking spaces available. Patience is required. Public Transportation: There is a shuttle bus in Sedona.

Wow, Boyton Canyon Trail & Subway cave is by far one of my favorite places to hike! I hiked on Monday around 6PM and nobody was at Subway cave, so I had a good and peaceful time out there

The trail is not hard to find, but it is kind of complicated to get up, if you are scared of heights definitely this is not for you.

Subway cave is one of the best hikes in Sedona. The beauty of this cave is another level. The hike is part straight forward until the last bit when you have to climb to the cave . You need go do some serious rock scrambling. Also there are no trail markers but lots of YouTubers have very good guidance to get here. We followed them and we could make it to this place. I would highly recommend this hike. Parking: Parking will be tough to get during peak hours
