image Older but nice hotel. Room was Xtra big (206). Conveniently located by convention center. Starbucks near by. One issue: only one of three elevators working. Made for a long wait.

image Noise issues the entire visit really detracted from the overall stay. This was my first visit to a Hilton since making Gold, and I was not impressed. For the price we paid ($1800/five nights) I really expect a quieter room experience. There is only one 2Q suite in the entire building - and it's on the 2nd floor, directly over the main hotel entrance. The original windows look really cool, but don't insulate sound well, so the suite living area is quite noisy as guests enter/leave the building right outside the suite. On the 3rd, 4th and 5th day of our visit, the hotel was doing carpet cleaning, and the cleaning van was parked outside our window and running its compressor from 9am-5pm. It was impossible to focus on my work calls. The hotel could have offered me another room to use during the day (since they could not move us because it was the only room of that config) They didn't offer me any solution but to use the business lounge. Since the biz lounge is an open space just off the lobby, I wouldn't have had the privacy necessary to do my calls/work. Food service options was limited (basically just bar food), so we only used our food credit one of the five days on site. The burger was tasty. Maintenance was great, swapped out a broken desk chair for me very promptly. Bathroom was sparkling clean and spacious. Surprised there was no vent fan in the bathroom. Good water pressure and temp in the shower. Air conditioning noisy and cycles off/on a lot, but did get the room cool. Beds are traditional mattress/quite firm, if you are picky about your sleep experience. I enjoyed watching the pigeons nesting in the windows.
