Sray away until after May 2024, the place is under construction and amenities are closed! Wish that had been on the website, or that the person who checked us in hadn't lied about it

I cannot post this on Marriott because I was not sent a survey. I booked this hotel thinking that I was getting a premium resort stay. Checked in only to find that the Club level was CLOSED due to construction. Tried to go to the coffee shop that had a sign in front advertising open daily from 6am -k CLOSED due to construction. Went to dinner our last night. only to find that the restaurant was CLOSED due to construction. Only one elevator was working due to construction. Oh and when I made the reservation I had no idea that there was any construction going on. Nothing was listed on the website, or even on the booking page. INFESTATION of the look alike lady bugs in rooms. We had 50 to 100 in the room every morning up in the corners of the window/sliding door. When I told the front desk, I was told that they are endangered and they cannot do anything about them. Not sure that I believe this, but if it is true then they will keep multiplying, so go at your own risk. The last morning, I found them in my bed. Yay. The first morning when I went for coffee, they did open up the coffee shop for a few minutes to make coffee for 3 customers. But it was never open the entire time we were there. I paid a premium to stay here, and I received none of the services that I actually expected from the stay. Won't make that mistake again. Rooms a nice, large and nice amenities. Bathroom is beautiful. Nice view of the pool. Used the spa and that was wonderful. Front desk service was 50/50. One of the staff was absolutely wonderful and kind, the other, was borderline rude. We checked in there was no hello, no acknowledgement of status and no welcome what so ever. Rooms: Very well appointed. Nice size. Stunning bathroom with glass shower and nice size tub. Room itself was very roomy. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the bedding, except when the bugs were sharing it with me. Food & drinks: The restaurant closed while we were there sadly. We ate lunch there and the food was great. Not sure what it will be once the renovations are done. Great service. Great food

What unpleasant surprise to find out that the restaurant and bar area is closed for renovation. Shouldnt be nice to disclose that during or before making a reservation. Paying full price for stay and having a partial service is unethical. Even during check-in we were not told right away. We have to ask about Swampers to find out that is closed and that we have to eat in temporary restaurant setup in hallway. We are regulars for more than four years and Concierge Lounge never reopened. What a strange decision by Management. This hotel doesnt reflect the Marriott brand in the best way. Sorry to say and write this review because some servers we recognized are wonderful. This year for Front Desk employees not so.
