image Stayed here 2 nights over the Eclipse weekend. It is in a wonderful, centralized location in the city with easy access everywhere. The room initially had a strong smell to it (may have been cleaning products), but it dissipated over the weekend. Staff was friendly and everything went smoothly. Parking lot is fairly limited/small, but free (validated) parking was made available at the Strong Museum just across the street. Would happily return!

image Perhaps the nicest Hampton Inn Ive ever stayed at. I frequent Hilton-brand hotels often for work and this location is more pleasant than a lot of Hiltons fancier locations.
Seemingly brand-new hotel is clean and modern without feeling like a sterile operating room. Lobby is very open and light, with giant two floor windows and an open terrace during warmer times.
Rooms were pleasant and I got upgraded to a room with a giant surprise balcony!
Great location walkable to downtown and nearby neighborhoods, yet also free parking!
Unfortunately, breakfast is still your standard American Hampton Inn breakfast (think sad reheated eggs, a reheated meat-product, and shelf-stable pastries served on disposable plates.)
Much of these five stars is coming from how new and clean the hotel feels. Hopefully this is something they can keep up over the years.
Walkability: Easy walk to downtown!

image I've been to this hotel 3 times with my family and all 3 times we were satisfied except for one time we were bathing our 4 year old son and suddenly there was no water. We called customer service and they informed us that they are working on fixing it . About 15 mins later water was available again but my son was all soaped up. We were forced to wrap him up and clean him with a towel. They offered to refund us some of the cost of the stay to make up for the inconvenience. We were happy with the compensation so we booked it again.

image Our stay here was great. The room was ready early when we arrived and we were able to use the Hilton Honors app to skip the front desk and go straight to our room. We also used the app to pick our room the day before during the initial check-in process which was cool. The digital key worked pretty flawlessly throughout the hotel, from our room to the elevators to the pool and everywhere else.
The room itself was clean and had no issues. We received a welcome text and ended up using that service during our stay to get some extra items for our room and also get any questions answered. Their response times were great as well.
The entire hotel seemed very clean, including the pool. The pool itself is pretty small and shallow topping out at around 4ft deep. Great for kids and limited swimming. The water was colder than expected but only took a few minutes to get used to. While we didnt use the fitness center, it did appear to have a few Peloton bikes and other equipment.
The included breakfast each morning was pretty standard from eggs to waffles. I would agree with others in that the single waffle maker can take awhile if its a busy morning. Otherwise, no real complaints for breakfast.
Its within walking distance to both The Strong (literally across the street from the parking lot) and RMSC (maybe a 10 minute walk or so).
Parking was fine but the lot was filled up shortly after the official check-in time. There are a few electric vehicle chargers as well. It looked like additional parking is across the street in The Strongs parking garage, just check with the front desk to be certain. The garage appeared to have gates down later at night but they went up when a car pulled up to it.
Overall, a really solid experience. Id highly recommend using the Hilton Honors app from checking in the day before to using it for the digital key. It made arrival and departure a lot faster and allowed us to pick a room in a location and floor we wanted. We didnt really interact with much of the staff but those we did were all friendly. Its a solid hotel thats family friendly.
Highly recommended for us!
Rooms: Clean and looked pretty much like the pictures. The mini-fridge gets really cold on its highest setting so dont turn it up too much unless you want stuff to freeze!
Walkability: Literally across the street from The Strong. 10-15 minutes to RMSC. Lots of bars, restaurants, and fast food places with a ~15 minute walking radius.
Food & drinks: Breakfast was pretty good with standard items. Get there before ~8ish to avoid lines (really only for the waffle maker)
Noteworthy details: Use the Hilton Honors app if youre able to. Check in on the app the day before to pick your room floor and location. Use it for your key as well.
Also utilize the text service after check-in. They can get you anything pretty quickly and can answer any questions you might have if you dont feel like calling or going to the front desk.
