Charged (not held, CHARGED) my first night before I arrived or checked in. I've never had that happen in 20 years of travelling the world.
Why are there BAGS OF GARBAGE placed at the entrances to the hotel?
No baggage carts available, bums wander freely.
This place is a dump with a new coat of paint, stay literally anywhere else. IHG platinum.

I enjoy staying with the IHG hotel brand and have stayed at several. I probably like this one the least. The hotel location was fine. The room was clean. Check in was fine. There was a young man that was training but, that wasn't a problem. I'd rather a new employee train with myself than other guests. I have patience with the new hires and understand the importance of good training and asking questions.
What I did not like was the parking, noise that can be heard through the walls and breakfast. Hotel has a small parking lot. Customer's with work trucks and trailers were parking in the lot taking up 4 and 5 spaces. You can hear every footstep from the halls and through the walls. That was very annoying, as this was the first IHG where I could hear people walking. Even with my kids walking in the room. The breakfast needed some work also. The number of kids is this hotel was overwhelming also. Of course that has nothing to do with the hotel but, it's because Carowinds is nearby. I'd stay at a location that's not close to Carowinds.
