Joe is the MAN for taxes, especially if you're stressed out over them. He is a professional who can spout out tax code and laws instantly. He's a tax-code historian, with photographic memory of what year the tax code changed! The best part is somehow he is always laughing about something and can save you on taxes big time. The lady who answered the phone is a delight!

**Edit/Update- we filed a complaint with the NC Board of CPA examiners and found that Joe Franek or Franek Tax Services is not nor has ever been licensed in North Carolina. We've used Franek Tax services for several years now and have been pleased. When we contacted Joe in March 22' to do our taxes, he was responsive (via email) but did tell us that he would need to file an extension on our behalf. When we reached out in June, the excuses began and were repeated in July, August, and September. Excuse after excuse. In October, we received a bill from the IRS stating that our taxes were filled late with no extension. Joe found it was a clerical error and stated the office would take care of the bill. Unfortunately, he would need to pay us in installments and wrote up a payment plan with dates, and after the initial payment, we have yet to hear from Franek Tax Services. Emails and voicemails go unanswered, and we couldn't be more disappointed that this is the situation that we're in. We were sympathetic to their situation and agreed to a payment plan, but that was over six weeks ago, and every time he said to come to the office, it was closed. We're done with this business and are out almost a thousand dollars.
