When my father passed away a year ago, the executor - against my sister's and my better judgement - hired Hap to appraise and auction off some of his antiques...
Our father had several heirloom pocket watches that he had carefully wrapped and attached information on each piece (who owned it and when) Hap unwrapped them and didn't bother to return them to their proper places... he just left them in a pile...The information made almost meaningless...we have no idea who's was who's. (We also give "credit" for this with the executor who was with him)
He was careless with many of our items. He removed an old calendar in near pristine condition (aside from some age - fade) then brought it back inside with a new tear on it and said he decided he didn't want it.
While in a side room, stepped on an old frame, broke the glass in it and brushed it off with "It's just glass."
He showed little regard for the items, and acted quite disrespectful in our father's home causing us some distress in our time of mourning.
He mentioned something to us about the next time he was going to come back, we said no, he wasnt.
