So, Bristol Farms, once the go-to spot for fancy food finds, seems to have hit a rough patch since the Amazon takeover. I popped into the Woodland Hills store hoping for a smooth deli experience, but alas, it was anything but.
I sidled up to the counter, eyes gleaming at the thought of some savory ham. Lo and behold, there was someone behind the counter! But getting their attention was like trying to hail a taxi in the rain futile. After what felt like a game of deli charades, I finally managed to score my ham, though the interaction was about as warm as a frozen pizza.
To add a sprinkle of absurdity to the mix, it seems Bristol Farms has forgotten the age-old question: paper or plastic? When I dared to ask for paper, it was like I had requested a unicorn ride. Apparently, plastic is the new black, and my paper bag dreams were swiftly deflated.
I'm off to Gelson's now...
