If you don't want to have a bad time with your family, don't go to this Matadero because no Hotel can be called this in the conditions it is in. The room smells too musty, the refrigerator is disgusting with hair, the bathroom stinks, a cloth is wet, the bases of the beds are moldy. I can continue telling you more but there are the images so you can see the disaster and the conditions of the hotel.

Choice membership and choice hotels are changing....for the worse. It used to be a crappie, but the people were nice, and the rooms were clean. When you were a gold, platinum, or diamond member, they upgraded you. NOW... they downgrade you.
DO NOT make a reservation for upscale rooms, they will give them away anyways and give you whatever is cheap.
This chain no longer honors contracts.
After driving for 5 hours I had to put up and shut up. I will make sure that my family and friends use Hilton Honors and not Choice. Enough is enough.
I don't see a space to answer your reply so, I'm just extending mine. While words are good, actions are better. I paid for a larger better room so compensation would be the appropriate way. Either refund portion of what I paid or something similar. Words don't do it.

Ive been staying at choice hotels my whole lifethis has been by far the worst customer service experience I have had at one. Our flight was cancelled out of Denver due to a massive snow stormI called and told them to check me in as I would need the room for the second night. As I was boarding the next day I called again, since had received a missed call at midnight. When we landed I learned that we had no hotel because our room had been cancelled! I was mid flight so Dee spoke to my friend to tell her this. When I called to speak to Dee, she never called me back. I know what Im getting myself as far as cleanliness at the Econo lodge brand, but this customer service is the worst I have at any establishment in years. I have many family members who work for the choice hotel brands and it seems like the manager team here is not upholding the company values in customer service.

Steph was very disrespectful she acted like she was above me even though she is young enough to be my granddaughter light about the accessible room lied about the sweet I paid for very disrespectful very unprofessional and very inclined to ever come back
Rooms: Very small unmaintained unclean filthy disrespectful staff
Nearby activities: Legoland closest thing
Safety: Are they say they have a security there is no security here there's no Mark security there's no one
Noteworthy details: Would not stay here not worth the money that they charge you for this place that used to be a wonderful place back whenever before it got bought out the staff is disrespectful especially did this stuff and the lady that made just walked into my room with any Pryor okay
