image This is my second time here after surgery. First time 3/2017 Rob was my therapist . Fun, entertaining, and kind of a jokster, he is the owner.
This time, I have Alex. She is energetic, motivating, and a sweetheart. She is working me hard because she knows how motivated I am. The front desk, Christine and Brittany, are very courteous and so accommodating. They will be your first impression as you are greeted with a contagious smile. Then, you come into the therapy area where you will be greeted by all staff and patients. It is extremely down to earth and friendly. Not only will you get back to being your best, but you will also gain some new friends too !

image I've been to several PT groups in Camden County (I'm a mess and have surgery...a lot, lol) and I really like this one the best. This group has several offices so you can find one near you. Alex and Rob are fabulous. They push you to do your best, like they should. They have been really helpful for me for knees, shoulders, and ankles. I wholeheartedly recommend Advanced Physical Therapy of South Jersey.

image This rating is not for the therapist that assisted me, he was very good. My issue is with their billing process. I got a bill which I paid over the phone because you cant pay online and I dont write checks. I had to stop going as I became very ill, I was unable to walk and had difficulty talking .I received a bill from them but thought the discrepancy in the amount was because they thought I was still getting treatment. To my surprise I received a summons in the mail. They were taking me to small claims court with numerous additional charges! I called and explained my situation and got proof of the balance owed from my insurance company. The woman on the phone was rude and condescending. The balance I owed was $47, but she wanted me to pay over $500 for added late fees! I dont mind paying for the services I received but as a service provider, you are responsible for proper disclosures regarding fees and easier payment methods. Yes I declined to leave my credit card information on file. Unsafe request with no safeguards against fraud.

This review is a bit disingenuous to say the least. First, we do not accept payment online as there is an increased cost to integrate a payment app into our website thus, to keep our costs low and not pass that expense along to the consumer, we prefer a good old fashion check or online bill pay from your bank.Second, if someone became ill and could not make a payment, they simply need to call the office and make a payment arrangement. Many times, we have allowed payment holidays for special circumstances and for many months with no accrued late/administrative fees.Third, “if” there were a discrepancy in any bill all you would need to do is call to discuss so the situation could be explained or rectified. We are human and we do make mistakes, however it would be more helpful to bring any possible error to our attention and not ignore our invoices for many, many, many months.Fourth, it is our standard policy and fully disclosed in the patient intake that is signed prior to any evaluation, that any unpaid balances have a $25 late/administrative fee assessed if payment arrangements have not been made. If an invoice goes unanswered for more than 3 months, we will forward the account to our outside collection agent and file it in small claims court. The “additional charges” are NOT necessarily all “late fees”, they are the administrative fee to cover someone to print the monthly invoice, trifold the invoice, stuff the envelope, stamp the envelope, deliver to the post office, the outside collection agent fee, and the court filing fee.Fifth, I doubt the woman was condescending… more like you didn’t receive the answer you wanted to hear. Medical billing and the complicated system the insurance companies have put in place are very difficult to understand as a consumer. We are glad to explain your bill, but if you do not bring an issue/questions to our attention, we can only assume you are not going to pay your invoice.Lastly, if you signed the disclosure that was provided during your patient intake, but never read it, I’m not sure what other disclosure you would like… We will gladly mail you a copy of your signed disclosure. It has now become standard company policy that ALL patients must keep a credit card payment on file. If you believe there are no safeguards against credit card fraud, but there are against identity theft ie., patients disclose name, address, social security number, birthdate, health insurance member info, employer name and address etc…then you are mistaken. All Patient Info Is Stored On A Secure Server/EMR Program. To provide personal info and refuse to provide payment info should be a red flag that maybe one didn’t have any intentions to make payment for services rendered. As with most, if not all complaints regarding billing, each could have been easily resolved with a simple phone call when the first, second or third invoice was received.

image The best place to go for therapy. The staff is extremely well qualified and professional. The friendly, family environment between patients and positive attitudes among patients and staff goes a long way towards positive recovery. Therapy is an enjoyable experience at Advanced Physical Therapy of SJ.
