Very friendly and helpful staff. Anita helped us out when we were having dingy problems. Such a very supportive and welcoming group of people. My kids love it here.

Members are very friendly but this club is not cruiser friendly. $40/day with 3 day minimum for access to the dinghy dock, showers and a bar that is open 3 nights a week. We anchored across the channel waiting for a weather window to cross to the Bahamas and paid for 3 days but day 3 was horrible weather so going a shore wasnt an option. The next day we went ashore to ask if we could get credit for the day lost. No credit given, so two club members offered to have us stay as their guest as it was a night the bar was open. Fast forward mid week and another member invited us in as the bar was open and we accepted only to be dressed down by the commadore who explained it was extremely costly to run the club, they had had bad experiences with cruisers pre COVID and if we wanted to come back we would need to pay for more days. Sorry but $120 for 3 days of dinghy dock and a shower is pretty crazy. Clearly they do not want cruisers unless they have money to burn.

As a member going on more than six years, I have witnessed a remarkable change of our Club. Yes, not long ago the grounds looked like a post apocalyptic boat graveyard. The south wall was falling down, trees un trimmed, old fuel containers, debris, etc... That has changed. The grounds are still a work in progress but we look like a proper club again. Staff changes have been made. Our new Commodore is an experienced ocean sailor and advanced ASA Instructor as well as an executive in the Commercial Maritime Industry. Sailing with a capital S is our main priority. Our ASA School will soon be fully staffed and equipped with a small fleet of J-22 keelboats. Our kitchen and catering facilities are being refreshed. And there's rumor we may even retire the fax machine... Four stars for attitude and change. One important star to go: When we become one of the first thoughts you have when someone asks, "Know any great sailing clubs in the area?"
