Weird anecdote, but felt compelled to share. I lived at this gorgeous complex in 1983 when I was a sixth-grade latch-key kid. Our apartment was so cool, really modern, lots of light. One of my favorites. *HOWEVER!* What we DIDN'T realize is that the tree-laden landscaping has a terrible side effect: Tons of huge SPIDERS! I don't recall them ever coming *inside* our house because my mom and I would have lived in our car. But they were all over the outside. One time when I got off the school bus, there were three chonky wolf spiders (each the size of a playing card, I shoosh you not) webbed across the front door. I threw books at them, hoping to just scare 'em away, to no avail. The stairs to the second floor balcony were Spiderville and, as though it mattered, so was the third floor balcony. All those doors, all those cool levels meant nothing when you hate spiders. So, gentle reader, enjoy your beautiful apartment, but stock up on Raid.

I legitimately love living in this community! The units are spacious with ample storage, washer/dryer are included and conveniently placed in the floorplan, the neighbors are wonderful (many friends here!), and the property feels NOTHING like an apartment complex. Honestly, it looks more like living in a mountain retreat. When I first moved in, the property was changing management companies, which caused some confusion, and the property was being renovated... loudly. But, in the past five months, the level of service and general aesthetics/functioning of the property have improved exponentially. The staff are incredibly supportive and have worked hard to make this a community (e.g., installed a community garden, fire pit, and picnic area in the courtyard, hold resident meet-and-greets).
Also, worth noting that the community is a 2-minute walk from the hiking trails at Mary S. Young Park, where I have seen multiple deer and rabbits (also, a fantastic dog park and soccer field). There is also a grocery store, liquor store, GREAT Asian restaurant, multiple shops, and daycare centers within .2 miles. Right on 43, so easy and scenic 20 minute drive to SW Portland. Cedaroak Primary, a top-rated school, is a 15-minute walk/3-minute drive away. It couldn't get better!

Great place to be
Am grateful
