CROOK - DO NOT BELIEVE ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS, these are simple the owners family and friends. Check BB or Kennebec Sheriffs Department. The owner of this business is a slick talking CROOK! Tony Glidden, agrees to a job then proceeded to take a deposit, only to never show or refund the deposit. He was subsequently arrested by Kennebec County Sheriffs an faces several counts off fraud. He is awaiting trial for this unthinkable crime of an elderly person. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company or person. Service: Roof repair

The owner, Tony Glidden from Mainely Roofing and Siding LLC come over October 27 2020, gave us an estimate of $ 11,000 to reroof and replace the siding on our home. We agreed to hire him and paid a $4500.00 down payment. After several months and the job being constantly pushed back, we finally fired him in April 2021. He promised to drop off the materials at which point I agreed to call it even. He then changed his mind and said he would take the 30 days the law allowed him and refund our money, which would have been June 30 2021. The date came and went no refund. He then contacted us an offered to pay us back in installments, which we turned down. Then he texted us and said your contract said no refunds on deposits. First, we have the original contract with his signature and nowhere does it state "NO REFUNDS, so then he emailed us the contract and it's unsigned and totally different and a fake and indeed his copy says " NO REFUNDS". Tired of dealing with his crap, we filed a police report which has been turned over to the district attorney's office along with several other complaints from other customers. So basically, he took our deposit and never did any work. He is a lair, a thief and a fraud!!! He was also arrested back in March for defrauding and 83-year-old neighbor of ours for $29,000, which she paid him as a down payment on a ******. job. This guy is bad news, please stay clear of him and his company!!!! By the way, just for your information, the web sited listed does not exist and the phone number given for Mainely Roofing and Siding LLC is disconnected. Further more as of 8/28/21 he has been arrested and is an inmate at the Kennebec County Jail on serval others counts as well as other fraud charges!
