image I was watching TV and the news mentioned liquidation centers as a great place to shop post the holidays because most items are reduced to 70-80%. I began looking for these stores and found two relatively close to where I live. The first one had almost nothing, then I went to Asset Logistics and Liquidations. At first glance it looked like the place to be. I went with my friend and was initially greeted by a very pleasant young man who sent us to another young man who was pleasant as well. They gave us bags to shop with and both me and my friend began our quest for bargains. The very first item was Balla 16 price pan set that they said was reduced to $69 dollars but when I researched them the same set I found on Amazon for the same price. I went to the very first pleasant young man and informed him of the price that was on Amazon and questioned if it was a liquidation price. I honestly thought he would see this and reduce the price but instead a lady setting next to him jumped into the conversation. She said she was the owner and that she pays a percentage from the retailer to purchase the items which was from Macys and Bloomingdales. I acknowledge that but Macys and Bloomingdales appears to have discontinued the items for new items and now those items were on other platforms like Amazon with 21 pieces for $69. I told her that I did not believe that the price was a liquidation price. Instead of offering to reduce the price the lady said that I could buy it from Amazon and calmly I informed her that I may do that. I went back to my friend to review another pot set that I was told was $45 by the second nice young man but was higher according to the first young man. While I was looking at items and googling the prices to ensure I was getting a deal, the lady suddenly was behind me staring me down, she said that she did not appreciate me insulting her store and was standing next to the first young man who was actually nice. I informed her that I wasnt insulting her store. I also reiterated that I was pointing out that the price wasnt a liquidation price if Amazon has the same price for those items.I was calm and never raised my voice, I informed her that was the first item that I researched but other items she have maybe liquidation prices and I would buy them if they were. She was so angry that she wanted to bait me into an argument with her but I remained calm and would not engage. She even called me crazy and said I could leave her store in an attempt to bait me but both me and my friend remained calm. If anyone was insulting it was her. Finally the pleasant young men who was next to her got her to settle down and they left. My friend who was with me was so appalled by the woman lack of professional decorum that she refused to buy anything but did not want to just walk out allowing her the gratification as if she was kicking us out when we did nothing wrong. It appears as if she is one of those power hungry people. I did buy a box of Clorox wipes that was a true liquidation price as far as I was concerned. The moral of the story is dont shop there if you see that lady, she is rude, unprofessional and confrontational. Research each item to ensure your getting a good price and talk to the young men working there not that lady, she gets a -10 for customer service. Yes I wrote this long post because my experience was just that bad with that owner, Im sure Im not the only person that has had a bad experience with her but she is a time bomb ticking.
The only thing saving that place is her staff.
