It was a big pleasure to assigned my house demolition. Alex Salas was very professional and explained to me the process step by step, and the time that was going to take.
I went to check how the house was coming every other day and they took really good care of the house I'm extremely impressed with their professionalism.

Responding for my aging parents whose home caught fire feb 2022. Mark Scott construction was contracted by fire dept to board up home. This was the only positive process I can say they did well. The following part of the process was disaster, I cant say how deeply troubled I am to learn of all the items that had been meticulously inventoried and gone missing once the debris removal process had begun, including high end jewelry worth $40k+ and the 50 years of belongings just discarded and possiblystolen. So much was very much salvageable and had Mark Scott Construction taken the time to remove, store and clean as they were instructed, we could have preserved the life time of memories that are now lost forever. The situation was hard enough to deal with for my 80 yr old parents and to have their precious belongings come up missing was devastating. The Mark Scott team was fired immediately, we hired a public adjuster was hired to handle the process. Although the items were never recovered, we were on the right track to rebuilding the home and lives of my parents. We are deeply saddened by the fact that this company and its workers would take advantage of the elderly.

The basis of your review was from information relayed in a phone call with your parents. What was not discussed was the fact that other companies were involved in this project. Since you have declined to edit or remove your comment, we would like to clarify our involvement in this process publicly. Our company, Mark Scott Construction, Inc. was initially contracted by the local Fire Department to secure the property through board-up services, which we successfully executed. Following that, another company (Not Mark Scott Construction, Inc.) was brought in and was responsible for the majority of the contents pack-out, while our role was limited to packaging 19 boxes of salvageable items. Our pack out was limited due to the damaged condition of the property showing positive results for possible contamination.We understand the significance of the items and memories involved, and it deeply saddens us that your parents' belongings went missing - However, we must clarify that our team did not have access to, nor did we handle, the debris removal process as that portion of work was handled by others and not MSC. Once we completed our portion of the work, the property was handed over to the appropriate professionals for further cleanup and restoration.We have a comprehensive photo documentation record of the items we packaged and stored, which we are more than willing to share with you to help clarify the situation.
