Worst insurance company I've had the displeasure of working with. They are liars and schemers. I've worked with many insurance companies through out my career but none of them have been like Cigna. They have the worst and the most incompetent customer service. I submitted a claim a year ago and after 4 calls, I still haven't been able to get the claim processed. Their customer service keeps hanging up on me or just passing me around for hours until I have to give up and call back another day. When it comes to payout, I believe their policy is to drag the process out as long as possible so you would give up.

The insurance barely covers any dentists and on top of that most of the listed dentists in my area don't actually take it.

Worst insurance. Says doctor is in network but somehow it is not in network AFTER you already had the appointment. Been dealing with them for months and just decided to pay the doctor and not deal with this headache anymore.
Also bought the Covid test because they said they will reimburse. Never got the reimbursement.
If your employer gives you options to choose your health provider, DO NOT CHOOSE CIGNA!
You will thank me later.

Mediocre insurance with the worst customer support I've ever encountered. I called them to terminate my insurance, and an hour (!) later I was "all set". A month later I started receiving mail and calls at 8 am notifying me my payment is past due. I had to call them three more times to make sure my insurance was _actually_ terminated. Three different customer support managers assured me that it was. A week later I'm getting more calls and letters.
Cigna, I do not want to be your client anymore, please stop wasting paper. Thanks!
P.S. reading more comments on here, and apparently that's just the scheme they're using to pull as much money from you as possible. I got Cigna in the first place to be able to continue seeing the dentist I've been with for years. I did confirm my doctor's office works with Cigna plans. After the appointment, I'm finding out my doctor is actually out of network. Fraud.
