A friend of mine first referred Kala Restoration to me one morning after waking up and finding water all under the stove in my kitchen. Robert from Kala came out with a couple of his team. He explained the process and identified where the leak was, finding that a pipe had broken in the wall behind my stove. Kala helped me with the insurance process, fixed the pipe and made sure I was able to get a brand new floor because of my water damage. I was very happy with the entire process from beginning to end Kala’s contractors were prompt, professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend Kala Restoration for any water damage problems.

The owner of KALA construction (Robert Matheka) is a scam artist. He hides false charges in a detailed bill and hopes it’s overlooked. Projects took much longer then given timeframe, several projects were done poorly and different from original plan, several charges were in the bill for projects that were never done and he lied about doing. When our floor started bulging up a few months after installation, Robert said he would not honor the warranty unless we paid him for additional work that was not on the final bill. If you do hire him, make sure to ask for receipts for everything and keep detailed account of charges so he doesn’t rip you off.
