image Had an amazing long weekend at the Waitsfield inn! Steve the inn keeper is so attentive, and willing to help in any way he can. The lounge room is awesome to end the night by the fire, with a drink, playing some games. The inn is 1 minute from Lawsons, and 10 minutes from sugarbush, location is prime!

image I had a lovely stay at the Waitsfield Inn. Easy check in, a clean and spacious room, and also breakfast included! An overall great experience and value. The location is also super for getting to Sugarbush and other places in the area.
Walkability: Walkable to The Mad Taco, Kanteen Kreme, and others

image Great spot. Stayed here several times and really enjoyed it. It's clean and well run. The place has a cool vibe; there's a spacious fireplace room downstairs for a cocktail and a chat w like-minded fun enthusiasts.
Steve is a great host, very kind, responsive, reasonable and easy-going. I even double booked once for a weekend and they very generously gave me a credit (they didn't have to; it was my mistake).
The rooms are comfortable. Not a lot of frills but they're clean and welcoming.
I have a special needs son and he feels very comfortable here. That's not always the case.
Rooms: Clean. Welcoming.
Nearby activities: 10 mins drive to Sugarbush. Lawson's is also a 10 minute walk.

image We went there at the end of January, because we decided to elope. Steve, the innkeeper, was more than accommodating and just an all-around great guy. We called ahead for a 1pm check in, because we needed to get ready for our nuptials at town hall, for 2 pm, and he said that would be fine.
The inn is very old, I believe Steve had said it was built in 1825. He gave us some history on the building and a tour of the place.
The rooms have an antique look. We had a four post bed, which my only complaint is that it hits the walls when...well ya know... but nothing a pillow didn't solve. The bed was super comfortable, and there was a vanity that I could sit and put my makeup on in front of. The hot water heater was being worked on when we got there, but eventually everything was all straight, and we managed to have a hot shower.
The great room was my favorite place. Steve made sure the wood stove was going and there was a comfy couch, some games, and a music area. My husband and I utilized the music area the whole time we were there. Steve encouraged us to play music and sing, which we did for other guests staying there. It was also a great room to meet other guests there and get to know them.
Breakfast was continental style, with some home cooking added in. Steve made us heart-shaped waffles in honor of us being newlyweds and offered to make us expressos.
We will definitely be back. I think the owner should give Steve a raise. He was the host, the chef, the front desk guy, and the keeper of the fire.

image I had the pleasure of spending a night here during ski season. The inn keeper was very friendly and helpful. He thoughtfully gave me a tour of the inn sharing stories of other guests enjoying the common spaces together. The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the linens were soft. Breakfast was delicious - the inn keeper baked fresh muffins and laid out real maple syrup with the waffles and home made granola. Geographically its centrally located and theres even a grocery store up the street. I had a lovely time and will certainly be back sometime soon.
