image It has been mostly a positive experience, there are some bumps in the road, but they usually are resolved

image I love everyone that came to care for my husband and more importantly so did he. We felt they had our best interest at the forefront. For me as a caregiver their help and instructions were invaluable.

image We had comfort keeper for 2 years. Every person who came to our house was wonderful and so helpful. I could not have continued working for those 2 years if not for the help they gave me

image When I was a caregiver at Vancouver Comfort Keepers franchise full-time for 3 years with weekday and weekend availability (gradually switched my schedule in my first year or two to Saturdays only; worked average of over 30 hours per week with this range of hours: of about 20 per week for 2 or 3 weeks; about 50 to 60 hours per week for a month or 2; and 30 to 45 hours a week for the rest of the weeks besides my requested time off), the office staff caringly aided their caregivers with their advice and compassion. For example, Liz listened to my situation before providing me with a practical tip of repositioning a bedbound and hospice client which both decreased the clients symptoms of pain and the risk of sores. The staff, especially including the owner Kelly, thanked and helped me gauge when a clients chronic or progressive condition got worse. The Comfort Keeper caregivers and nurses that I worked with were committed to the client through the high and low times. This further increased my focus to compassionately handle the tasks at hand while promoting safety; additionally, I saw many clients live a joyful and healed life.
After my 3 years of full-time work, the office supported my decisions to increase my exploration and education with my profession toward an accredited school program; therefore, I continued (after three years) for over a year with part-time work while taking prerequisites and applying for a medical assistant certificate. With balancing full-time work and life balance in a new medical assistant job, I took a hiatus from Comfort Keepers; otherwise, I would actively work full-time or part-time hours at Comfort Keepers.
Thank you all for the kindness, leadership, and teamwork: Kelly, Liz, Monica, Melissa, and Karly (and others who I previously interacted with at Comfort Keepers including Jamie, Mackenize, Kandy, Savannah, Michelle, Christopher, Emma, and more)!
