Dr.Kim is amazing . For years other doctors would not put the back pain I was having in consideration like Dr.Kim did. He Diagnosed me and treated my pain . The nurses in his office were amazing too.. They informed me about how to get my authorization with my primary and I was able to get appointment with in the next week.. I don't know about these other reviews .. But I really recommend Dr.Kim's office

I was referred to him by my health Insurance, I really liked him, he was professional and straight to the point and gave me very  educated answers to any question I asked. The two women working in the office and professional and courteous as well.

Quick response time. Professional, the doctor is clearly very busy but he gives you enough time to explain your chart completely, and you're in and out quick.

WARNING!!  BEWARE!!  CAUTION!! STAY AWAY!!  RUN!!  AVOID!!  DO NOT GO!!I went to see Kim InSoo, who took an x-ray.  He had to put in a request to my insurance to approve of a cortisone shot for my elbow for an abrasion sprain.  The approval goes through.  Upon my next visit, Mr. InSoo comes in and says, "How did the shot work?"  I told him, "That is why I am here...to get a shot."  He then says, "Where does it hurt?"  I mean really!  He is the expert and asking me where it hurts.  So, he orders to have a cortisone shot and when the syringe is ready, he asks me where it hurts again.  I thought to myself, "You are the expert, shouldn't you know where the shot goes."  I have to pinpoint the pain deep down, near my bone and find the sensitive spot and tell him where it hurts.  AND HE DOESN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE X-RAY!!!  And so he jabs the shot in me where I show him relatively where my pain is..and calls it a day.Although, this was my second cortisone shot (the 1st one was with a different doctor in a different county).  When I had my first cortisone shot done, that orthopedic doctor knew exactly where to give me the shot and never once asked me where the pain was or where he should give me the shot at.  I specifically requested for a MRI with Mr. InSoo, but he refused, saying that all I needed was a cortisone shot.  Although I already had had one, Mr. InSoo tells me that it is typical to receive more than one cortisone shot for the same issue at hand.The second cortisone shot with Mr. InSoo was a horrible experience.  I was in pain for 5 days with an aching pain in my elbow and heart palpitations.  I thought something was wrong with me and that I might die, due to the excessive heart palpitations.  Mr. InSoo is a quack and doesn't know what he is doing and sure has a bad memory.  I filed with the medical board for malpractice!  I suggest everyone avoid Mr. InSoo AT ALL COST!!!

I hope my review helps those that truly are seeking skilled hands to service them or their loved ones.  I have read every review here on Yelp concerning him and again hope my diligent open minded approach of researching each review and those peoples tendancies when they write reviews will assist others in determining if they want to proceed with him.  Please dont take my words as rude towards others. I believe the majority, over 80 percent of these reviews are completely misplaced and have nothing to do with the blood covered skilled hands that will be inside you or your loved ones.  First his office staff sucks.  That is prominent in most Doctor offices of today due to complacent workforce and inadequate interest in going above and beyond for anyone but themselves.  I have been a home care nurse for over 3 years now and am disgusted by the horrible behaviour of office staff.  Not just his but literally every office we have visited have more bad apples than good ones.  Rest assured these uneducated, entitled space cadets won't be taking a scalpel to you or your loved ones so do your own diligence and make sure everything is being done correctly in scheduling and followup.  These office people are not your babysitter.  Write down your appointment or demand your appointment written on a card.  Now don't whine if they don't call you the day before.  Grow up and take responsibility.  They are not your babysitter so keep a calender and keep your appointment.  I have about 5 more points I could make concerning these reviews you see here but I am not interested in beating this subject into the ground.  The front office in any doctors office is not your personal life guide or private valet and babysitter.  We pass people everyday that simply dont have their crap together.  Unfortunately the health care industry front office staff are kings and queens of disfunction.  The take away is they simply are not Dr. Kim.  Dr. Kim is the one doing your surgery or evaluation and he is direct and no nonsense.  His English is better than most any person working the counter of a fast food joint or a retail store.  You can clearly understand him because he is direct and to the point and he does not use a single flowery word to massage your need to feel good about yourself or the way you are being spoken to.  Again, he is direct and to the point and he could care less if your insurance will have a problem covering something he says you need.  Its not his job or training to teach you the ways of insurance company denials.  Figure it out.  Google insurance problems, ask a friend or ask a homeless guy on a street corner but don't ask Dr. Kim.  None of that is his specialty or his calling.  What is his specialty is elbow deep inside your body piecing back together a tramatic injury.  He excells at that.  Call random hospitals and ask the nurse administrators what orthopedic surgeon they have found is consistent in getting positive results.  The 3 I enquired of all stated his name within the top 5 with one of them stating he was the best they had seen as far as success rate.  This one even said it was sad he was not closer to their hospital because if they could have him do all their orthopedic surgery they would.  So, whats more important here.  The fact that his office is not good at changing your diaper and wiping your snotty nose or the fact that his skilled hands lead you to much better results bringing you or your loved one closer to walking again or bending elbow or whatever ails you?  I have no connection or reason to give him good praise other than the fact that one of my patients that hasnt walked in over two years just walked into room and told me she is headed out to start riding horses again.  That's what matters most and the reviews here are based more on an emotional experience and a misplaced sense that every person in his office needs to be saints and child care (for adults) professionals otherwise they will post a whining review that has nothing to do with you or loved one functioning normal again.  I hope that clears up this ridiculous attack thru reviews that harms such a wonderful surgeon.
