Relief from migraines! I've been suffering from migraines for almost 7 years, I've seen the doctors..taken the meds..tried everything! So to my surprise, when I was prescribed PT for what I was told was vertigo, the treatment plan ended up ending my migraines! Excel Physical Therapy has very compassionate, patient, thorough caregivers who work very hard to see you feel better and make sure your PT is a success. I seriously can't tell enough people about my experience and my results!

I'm very pleased with my choice of Excel PT. It is a very friendly place with knowledgeable therapists. I worked with Stephanie who was very understanding of my problem and helped me get back on track. I'm thankful for her help and encouragement. I would highly recommend Excel to anyone.

If you are looking for the best in compassionate, professional care by highly educated and experienced therapists, use Excel. Additionally, the environment at Excel evokes calm and serenity because these are individuals who work well together. Everyone on the team is committed to providing the best care and educating their clients for self care as well. Excel is exceptional in so many ways.

Excel PT is wonderful. Friendly greetings as soon as you enter. Zach was a fabulous PT. Extremely personable and made the sessions enjoyable. Provided great solutions and was always able to explain the “why” behind his thought process to help you understand. You can really tell he cares for his patients! Highly recommend!

If you have been in pain and tried other physical therapists, please read this review. Excel PT changed my life in ways I never thought possible. They allowed me to avoid surgery and be mainly pain free for 2+ years. Here's my story:
Having struggled with low back pain for 40+ years, my doctor said surgery may be necessary, as additional cortisone injections were no longer an option - a bulging disc was the problem. However, he wanted me try PT one more time. Having been to countless physical therapists and chiropractors over the years with very limited success, I was not optimistic. That said, he recommended Excel Physical Therapy in Oshkosh, so I set up an appointment with Stephanie and decided to give it a try.
When I started with Stephanie, I was taking 3 strong anti-inflammatories / day just to manage the sensation of an ice pick jabbing me in the lower back. I was not optimistic and felt surgery was just around the corner!!
Stephanie received me and spent time giving me a full workup analysis which was similar to other therapists, however it was more thorough with several "starting point" measurements. This is where almost all similarities between Excel and other PT's ceased.
Stephanie then had me lay face down on a table and began to probe my upper back with her fingers asking me, "does this hurt?". She seemed to know right where to go as the answer was an almost immediate - yes!!. She then proceeded to apply pressure with her elbow to the sore spots, which turned out to be knots in my back. She applied the pressure for about two minutes with each knot until the pain somewhat melted way and felt like pressure. Needless to say, this process was not comfortable! For the next 20 - 30 minutes she worked her way down my back like walking down the steps of a ladder, knowing with precision exactly where the next painful knot in my back would be. With each knot, pressure was applied, I felt the pain, and the pain turned to pressure after about 1-2 minutes, then on to the next knot covering my entire back.
Little did I know that the series of knots in my back were the root of my problem. My back was similar to a length of rope that had several knots tied in it. Knots in a rope shorten the length of the rope. Knots in my back shortened the length of my muscles and caused a tightening of my entire back. In my case, the elimination of these muscular knots allowed my muscles to relax and lengthen, which eliminated the pressure of a bulging disc on my back, thereby eliminating my pain.
Having been pain free for over 2 years, I have since visited Stephanie for a shoulder and knee issue, both of which have been successfully treated. I still do all the exercises and stretching recommended by Stephanie which is "my part" of the healing process.
The following bio from Stephanie tells the story of what makes Excel Different:
"I am certified in Manual Therapy (MTC) so I utilize many myofascial techniques that are hands on, like trigger point release; a myofascial trigger point is a taut band in the muscle that affects its length and function. It is important to not only release the trigger points but also reeducate the muscle and continue to strengthen it in order to prevent recurrence of the problem.
I also have an advanced board-certification in addition to my doctorate, MTC and dry needling certification; (OCS-orthopedic clinical specialist) only 6% of Physical therapists have this specialty."
If you have hit a wall and think elimination of physical pain is not possible, think again, and think about Excel Physical Therapy.
By the way, Stephanie is also a Big Packer Fan, so she gets two thumbs up for that.
