Drove down to swap a vehicle as the one they rented to me had a slow leak and after getting down there to do the swap was told the vehicle I was to be getting wasn't ready after they told me it was. Wasted my time and money.

I would not even give Hertz 1 star! Never rent from the company. I rented a Van from Sanford, Orlando To pack up my belongings from selling my home in FL and bring them back to WI. From the start nothing but problems! The lady at the airport who checked me out told me about liability insurance and full coverage, NOT IF YOU HAVE ROADSIDE PROBLEMS!! The first Van had 3 baby seats in it had to turn around and take them out, then go back to check out gate I notice the engine light was on and said to the worker hey this light is on he said well if your gonna be in area is ok, Ummm no Im driving this to WI! He said Ohh noo you better go back get new one, so then she this time brings me up a Dodge Van with almost 2K miles on it, I noticed right away, the Van was dirty, smelled of smoke, which I have asthma! But was so hot and just wanted to be on my way I left. I started to notice tire problems the next day and the tire light came on so I aired them and it seemed ok..NO! the back passenger tire had a problem with the Valve stem, which I finally had to have paid to fix in TN, when I called them about this I was informed I had to pay all and any costs for the Van as I didnt take the protection plan. The lady was rude I was alone and at this point crying because I had stopped so much for this tire, I was in disbelief at how rude and unfeeling she was and the lack of care for my safety! Then it just got worse it froze in TN and the water< Water that was in the windshield fluid froze I thought it was empty so I bought fluid and put some in but I noticed it was full of water, So that didnt work at all and light came on from then on had to stop many times to clean it, then The oil change light came on! The very worst part after I had the tire stem fixed which is what I thought was making the back end sway and jiggle, turns out the back end was out of aliment so to go past 63 mph on the highway was impossible! It took me for a 10 hour and 17 min drive from TN to Home a little under 16 hours!! Guess what with all them problems>Yep charged my card full price!! ruined my trip home, my asthma flared, and stressed to the max. PLEASE think before you ever rent from these uncaring terrible business company, they want you to fix their cars so they dont have to! they knew how far I was going and should of had me a reliable vehicle checked out fully and ready to go!!
