Because I can't give a 0 star rating. Note: This review is directed at the corporate wigs, not the great working people of the company.
This airline (I'm not going to state their name because that gives credit for them to Google) and their partners have joined the woke, greedy, corporate movement with all the other large corporations controlling our lives.
I just learned that my recent flight was ineligible to earn flight mileage because it did not qualify (translation I paid for an economy ticket) which now apparently does not qualify for miles. This was never a problem in the past but apparently greed has taken over. What next, will I have to pay extra for a seat, or seatbelt, or life vest in the event of a water landing?? If it were not for safety regulations, we would be standing on our flights holding straps as if we were on a subway.
Unfortunately we do not have a choice as these airlines cater to the business travelers and continue to squeeze out the working class among us that just want a nice vacation once in a while.
Let's look at reality, the typical non-business traveler would be lucky to accrue enough miles for 1 free trip in their lifetime and now that has been taken away by the greedy people running these corporations.
Sick, sick, sick. Shame on you all for your greed.

Baggage 'service.'
After Alaska Airlines send both my wife's and my suitcases from LAX to Spokane, instead of just mine, I needed to pop in to the baggage service office to get the suitcase to her
First solution; call a number. I didn't have to, because I already had a conversation with the service in Seattle today, while I was there, as well as the suitcases. (Suitcases were in transit, not in an office)
Second solution; she (my wife) has to start a claim. Didn't have to, because I was in the office, in person. What was needed from our end I asked, to fix their screw up?
Long story short: supervisor Mikayla was called in and was unable to get the suitcase to my wife.
There was also quite some rudeness from her end and to top it of: a worker started laughing about the things I described. They were disturbing, unacceptable things.
Unacceptable, unprofessional behaviour.
