Atrium installed shades throughout our house in 1994. In August 2017, I returned to inquire about replacing my 20 year old shades with a similar product. I would hang them myself since it is relatively easy. The new owner's representative said that would work. We purchased the shades. After they got our money their customer service evolved into the worst I ever experience in my thirty five years as a commercial construction manager. It became a three month struggle. Without warning they recently closed their doors, and were extremely hard to contact. BEWARE - SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING (Could be a failing company).

After spending thousands of dollars with Atrium Shades on new blinds, we are completely frustrated with their lack of service. We purchased our automatic exterior blinds last May once we completed our remodel. We looked around for a long time trying to make sure that we chose the right company and asked all of the proper questions; ie, are they covered under warranty, what happens if there is an issue etc. Each and every time we were told "they service their blinds and one of the technicians lives by us in Everett so it wouldn't ever be a problem. " Now a few months later, we were gone on vacation and came home to a $4000.00 blind that is no longer operable. When I called the company, the voicemail was full so I followed up with an email asking if someone could come out or walk us through the process on how to fix it. I got a response from Susan who advised us that they are closed for the season and they will let us know when they open again. My husband responded advising of the severity of our blinds issue and who we can contact for help on getting our blind back in working order before it causes even more damage, this was 4 days ago and still no response. Beyond frustrating to spend so much money on something that no longer works a few months later and ZERO help from anyone that we purchased it from. I would never had purchased these from them if I knew they were seasonal and feel they should have let us know at the time of purchase. So now what do I do? Contact another company and pay them to help after we were covered with Atrium? Ridiculous.
