EMS has been one of the worst vendors for me. Their pos system is fairly decent but the owner Stephen has been a nightmare. They make a lot of promises during sales, but when it comes to install and operations they suck. They have a firm rule that they will not support you till you go live, which sucks because if you realize something wrong during training sucks to be you. They won't help you. They lie about their systems and they think they know better than you. I am glad to see new pos systems popping up and killing these old systems.

this company is awful. Their customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. Because they have a monopoly on their service, they act like they are doing you a favor, and every time you call with a problem, they charge you an enormous amount for their help. We pay for their yearly service agreement, but that still doesn't stop us from getting extra charges. Run, don't walk away from using Aloha in Seattle. We are switching to dinerware and can't wait to have it installed and get rid of Aloha and their owner

Aloha in Seattle is a great example of an Ancient Monopoly business. Based on my experience of their customer is at par with TV providers and Airlines. Aloha has a decent product and they are an attractive system for many hospitality business'. On the other hand EMS in Seattle is so old schooled. They are out of touch with the world we live in. The way they treat their customers, might have been acceptable in 1998 but in 2018 it makes you feel like you are calling your grandmother to help you with your computer. They have no sense of urgency, your system might crash and not be functional for days and they will still not answer your calls even though you pay for the service fees. The technicians are not knowledgeable, and you keep getting transferred from one voice mail to another. There are so many new companies that perform a lot better than EMS & Aloha.
