Just be ready to pay for everything, if you didn't make pictures of each scratch during move in. Check in list is useless. Even you made pics - be ready to open claim against them after move out. They are not accept any considerations.

Absolutely awful. Have had a multitude of problems with this company, namely at their Parklane Apartments in Vancouvver, WA. Among the list of offenses: Giving apartment keys to contractors doing renovations (with no maintenance staff or anything accompanying). So said contractors entered our residence without waiting for a response and refused to leave when asked to come back in a few minutes. Misplaced important documents relating to our residence. Saying we hadn't paid rent when we had. Giving us incorrect information about our eligibility to live at Parklane, a low income housing apartment complex. We paid money for an electronic key to the Laundry and Exercise rooms, which ended up never working. Changed locks on apartment doors and breezeway doors, which barely work for anyone. Issues with the apartment complex includes many electrical and appliance issues, despite "renovations". Attempts to try to get management to fix or replace these issues have all pretty much failed. Try not to live anywhere this company owns.

Horrible. These idiots have purchased the last 2 buildings I have lived in and ruined what were once nice communities. The first place they bought out was a small, brand new building in west Seattle. We rented in that particular building because of the amenities and great staff. Once Riverstone took over, maintenance became a nightmare, tenants were subjected to monthly inspections...on a building that was less than a year old! I got tired of juggling around my work schedule because these jackasses had to inspect everything all the time and I had to be home to wrangle our dog. Unfortunately, half the time they wouldn't show up or they would reschedule the inspections, which meant I had to re-work my own schedule. They replaced the once fantastic staff with a rotating staff of incompetent assholes. Then the company significantly reduced the rent for incoming tenants while raising it substantially for those of us already there. This was the last straw for me, because if I wanted to live around college kids, I would have moved to the U District. About 6 months ago, we relocated to Renton and lo and behold! Riverstone strikes again. Its the same cycle all over again, except this time they seemed to have retained most of the office staff. But we're getting inspections all the time again...and again, they are rescheduling or just not showing up. They recently made the decision to replace the windows on the building...in the middle of winter. These asshats are the Comcast of property management. It seems that no matter where you go, there they are. I would like nothing more than to personally kick each one of their investors in the genitals.

The management has gone south over the past year. They have smokers living on the bottom floor so the two upper floors get to enjoy the death fumes during the nice weather. When asked, the management wouldn't do anything about it. There are a LOT of dogs on the premises so expect to step in poop at least once a week. Also, the garbage is VERY far away so you have to carry each and every bag down 1/4 mile to the dumpster, if you have kids this is going to be a twice a day thing. Additionally, my garage and the one next to me were broken into. I was taken for over $5000 worth of tools and my neighbor lost some very expensive mountain bikes. After this incident, I learned from the Sheriff that this had happened before just a few months prior to our robbery. The neighbor simply isn't what it used to be. We have since moved out of Pebble Cove. This is when the worst of things began and the final straw for us. I will likely be filing a BBB complaint and one with the Attorney General. We hired a cleaning crew to come in a do a move out cleaning. They came in, cleaned, and took pictures of the fantastic job they did. When we were ready for a move out the staff at Pebble Cove told us that they did not do move out inspections and instead sent everything in the mail. I expressed that I wasn't comfortable with this and was told again by Lisa "it's not our policy to do move out inspections." I agreed and told them that the cleaning crew was finished days before already and we were back just picking up some final items. My wife came back later and gave them the key and we were done... until we got our final charge expenses. We were charged for cleaning even after we paid a professional to clean the apartment. We were charged with a "smell of smoke" which came from the tenants downstairs. This was especially frustrating to us because we dont smoke and the smell from downstairs was a reason we moved because management wouldn't do anything about it. We were also charged for a closet rail which was installed incorrectly by their maintenance team. All in all, the company kept all of our deposit and is trying to charge us more in addition. as mentioned perviously, we will be fighting this for as long as it takes. Bottom line, there are a TON of other nice apartments and single family homes in the Renton / Fairwood area. The rent just went up $400 to almost $1900 for a two bedroom so you can certainly pay similar or maybe even less for far less grief. My advice would be to stay away from Pebble Cove and their Parent Company Riverstone Residential. They are dishonest to say the least.

When we moved in we were to fill out a 25 page rental agreement. Who has ever full out a 25 page rental agreement? In those pages was information on what animals could be allowed in your unit. These are not: Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Huskies malamutes, Dobermans, Chow chows, St. Bernard's, Great Danes, Bull Dog Terriers, Bear Dog, the list goes on and on. I have service animals and I have documents that show it. Which I had to provide. Guess what lives across from me, the biggest male Rottweiler I have ever seen, do they keep it on a lease? NO Have they been asked to move? NO Can I take my dogs out for their evening walk? NO This dog comes running over and scares the $@#$ Out of them, I have a hard enough time walking my dogs due to my disability. Then to worry about the safety of my dogs.
