Terrible, terrible, terrible home management firm. By far the least competent group of people I've ever worked with. Nonresponsive and rude but so not helpful when they were responsive. Our property manager hung up on my husband in the middle of a conversation - who does that? Drove away a potential buyer because of sheer incompetence and disorganization, and almost another. If you have any say in who manages your HOA, go as far away as you can from GFK. Owned my unit for 12 years and got screwed on so many occasions because they don't care about their owners, they just put horribly unjustified fines and liens on the owners. Note: Couldn't give 0 stars (or a negative rating) but I would if I could.

I advise you look elsewhere for a Condo management firm. GFK has consistently proven to be incompetent and dishonest. In lieu of resolving issues rationally, Jennifer H. responds defensively and is exceedingly rude. She is an extraordinarily UNPROFESSIONAL senior manager—what a nightmare to work with.

I cannot imagine a worse company to deal with. They did maintenance work on the unit below mine due to a leak from my shower. They never told me work was going on. A contractor knocked on my door and did a water check and then caulked four feet of my bathtub. I received a bill for $379, including $180 for the caulking. I thought it was high but paid it immediately. The guy told me there wasn't any damage to the unit below mine. A month or so later I received a bill from GFK for $2,780 to be paid immediately. When I asked why I wasn't told about the work being done, I was at first ignored. I repeatedly asked for a line item list of work done with photos. Jennifer Hansen gave me defensive and borderline hostile non-answers. The only contact info on the GFK website is for Jennifer. So I did some sleuthing and located the contact info for the owner of GFK. I emailed him, demanding to know why he was allowing Jennifer to so badly mismanage the situation in such a rude manner. Jennifer began responding but rudely of course. I went ahead and filed a claim with my insurance company. They spent five weeks trying to get Jennifer to simply return a phone call. (I had to reach out to the owner again just to get Jennifer to respond to the insurance company!) This is just one example, out of several bad experiences in my two years as a homeowner. So folks, if you like being ignored, responded to in a condescending manner, and not having your interests looked out for by your property management company, then GFK is the one for you.
