I have gone to Loan for 15 years! She is amazing at her craft- a true artist!! Modern Barber is a very stylish space, love the decor and the simplicity. Always clean and fresh. It’s also very nice to have a (free) secured parking space in the city. I always feel pampered and well taken care of. I have fine hair that feels greasy after one day. I asked for recommendations for shampoo and conditioner. Erika was great at asking the right questions and providing solutions. I really enjoy the shampoo and conditioner. I also appreciate that she looks for brands that are socially conscious as well. Thanks!

Got a wonderful trim from owner Erika, who was charming, efficient and listened carefully to what my needs were. Whenever I have occasion to travel to Seattle, I make sure I grow my hair out as much as possible before arriving to justify scheduling some chair time. I recommended this barber shop to my sister and it has become her go-to.

They’re the only overtone retailer in Seattle and are by appointment only so if you just want to walk in and grab a product real quick you’re out of luck unless they’re working on someone in the chair. Pretty inconvenient.
