Jeff Sayre is the man.  He also happens to be the boss.  Not in some mafioso kind of way, but of Sayre Law Offices.  But you'd never know it, because when you're in trouble in a civil or business matter, he'll make you a deal you can't refuse -- great legal work at a reasonable price. You might think that the "Sayre" in "Sayre Law Office" is named after Jeff, but it is actually named after Jeff's father, also a lawyer, who started the office years ago.  He has since retired, and this father/son "team" is now just Jeff and his several associates.Ok, so our small business (also father/son) was in trouble.  There's no good guys or bad guys, really, more like a sad situation where the ex-partner of the business became a debilitating alcoholic, and eventually died of it.  So years later, his daughter brought suit against the ongoing money that was sent by our business to this ex-partner's ex-wife in residual payments.  The daughter was seeking her daughterly share.  Fair enough.  I'll spare you the sordid details of misinformation, accusations, and heated arguments that ensued. But in short, a settlement was finally reached, and now all parties can move forward with our lives, thankfully.  It's time.I happen to be an attorney who works in this business doing non-attorney work, but I have a very good idea of when I am dealing with the REAL DEAL attorney, or not.  Let me give you some "insider" advice:The REAL DEAL attorney is NOT:1. The "PIT BULL" -- this breed of attorney is aggressive, but not usually very bright, so the more patient, brighter attorneys just wait for them to make mistakes that they take full advantage of.  Often, the Pit Bull doesn't even realize they've screwed their own clients and themselves after it's over.2.  The "GENERALIST" who can "do everything".  This used to be the way it was, when laws were much simpler.  But today, this attorney is a dying breed, and for good reason -- maybe they can sort of do everything, but they will do nothing very well.3.  The "SLEAZEBALL".  This guy will break every rule, ethically, to get as much money in their pocket as they can, as opposed to giving any kind of shit about their clients.  This small minority of attorneys will lie, cheat, and steal for their own ends -- often screwing over their own clients, and give every other attorney a bad name in the process. The REAL DEAL IS:  Kinda boring, really.  BUT... an ethical attorney who treats you and other attorneys with respect.  They search for positive outcomes for you, the client, take time to reflect, do their research, and think out of the box.  The REAL DEAL does not base decisions made on your behalf, on how much money they will get out of that decision.  And they have experience in some specific subfield or fields of law.  Ideally, they will also have relationships with high-quality professionals in related fields, such as accountants, or investigators, who's work can be indispensable in succeeding with your case.Jeff Sayre is the REAL DEAL.  He handled our case ethically (unlike the opposing attorney, who hid key information which, once found out, ultimately benefited us).  Jeff is competent, respectful, and in the end, I believe he saved us a bundle of money.  He provided us with... VALUE! (ooohs and aaaahs.)If we ever find ourselves in trouble again (heaven's forbid! knock on wood, salt over shoulder), or just need advice on a business matter, I will definitely go back to Jeff Sayre's office of skilled and ethical attorneys.Highly recommended (and that really is saying a lot coming from me).(Note: This office moved last year from Jefferson Street to 1320 University  Street)
